The TZe-121 lettering tape from Brother is a 9mm wide laminated lettering tape. The tape is transparent and has a black print (text and graphics). This 9mm wide tape fits many Brother P-touch label maker. See the Extra Information for the list of suitable label makers.

Standard P-touch letter tapes

This Brother lettering tape is a standard lettering tape. This means that the tape is intended for your everyday use. Think of labeling things in your home, office, store, warehouse. The tape has a normal adhesive that is easy to remove. The standard tape is UV resistant and should be stuck on a flat or slightly curved surface.

P-touch standard TZe tapes are available in widths from 3.5 - 36mm and in various combinations of text color and tape color. 

Brother has developed more than just letter tapes for general applications. Therefore, please also check if there might be a special tape for your application that is better suited than a standard tape.

Specialty P-touch letter tapes

Brother has not only developed letter tapes for general applications. There is also a whole series of special tapes.

• Flexible tapes for labeling cables (cable wraps and cable flags), pipes, highly curved surfaces.
• Strong-adhesive tapes for difficult, rough surfaces or when a tape needs to be difficult to remove
• Shrink tubes (heat shrink tubes) for labeling and shrinking power cables

Thermal Transfer printing

The P-touch letter tapes are printed using the method of Thermal Transfer. The cassette contains 2 rolls that are guided along each other. One roll contains the letter tape, the other roll contains the imprint tape. The print head is heated at the positions where a print is to be made during the transport of the letter tape and due to that heat, the color is transferred to the letter tape at that location of the print tape. So the imprint is transferred to the letter tape by heat and melts onto it. The typeface tape itself is not heat sensitive and thus will not discolor quickly and the print is very firmly attached to the tape.

The TZe-121 tape replaces the old model TZ-121 tape.
